Notes on P2C90 CEL:
Regarding the check engine light and intakes on the 2025 model, it is recommended to get the dealer TSB ECU software update performed on the car before installing the intake. This will prevent any chance of the P2C90 light to come on.
While the PCV fix kit that comes with the K&N Cold Air Intake resolves the P2C90 check engine light in most cases, cold weather can still cause the code to appear. Toyota has now released TSB ECU software updates for 2023, 2024, and 2025 model year GR Corollas (as of October 1, 2025).For 2023–2025 vehicles, Toyota requires this TSB ECU software update to be performed at the dealership. The update is mandatory and permanently prevents the P2C90 code from reoccurring, regardless of conditions.
